Description of the role
Versuni, formerly known as Philips Domestic Appliances, has a simple yet powerful purpose of turning houses into homes. As a house of brands Versuni is home to the brands: Philips, Saeco, Gaggia, Preethi, Philips Walita, L'OR Barista and Senseo. They create and deliver sustainable product innovations in kitchen appliances, coffee, climate care, garment and floor care.
We aim to find in you Versuni's Director Corporate Communications, part of the Global Brands & Marketing Strategies team, based in Amsterdam. As Director Corporate Communications you will be at the forefront of transforming Versuni's global communication strategy and inspiring employees and external stakeholders around brands, products and people. You develop and execute a comprehensive impactful internal and external communications strategy that supports the company's business objectives and enhances its reputation. You engage employees and leadership, across businesses, markets and functions, by bringing Versuni's purpose to life. To ensure that all communications are aligned with the company's overall messaging and positioning, you work closely together with cross-functional teams. You create and manage the company's internal communications programs, including for example town hall meetings, events and newsletters. Also you oversee the development of compelling visuals and presentations.
- manage all aspects of media relation and serve as a spokesperson for the company;
- develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, media, analysts, ngo’s and industry organizations;
- design and execute crisis communication plans and manage crisis situations as they arise.
In this position you do not manage a team.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate has 10+ years experience in internal and external communications, preferably in a dynamic, international environment. You have a proven track record in developing and executing successful internal and external communications programs. You have the ability to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to communication challenges. As a good project manager, you are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. You have the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
Also you recognize yourself in this;
- good writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of writing samples to demonstrate your ability;
- interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, employees, media, and partners;
- fluent in English is a must.
